Congratulations are in order for all of the developers who won prizes for their Movable Type plugins for the Six Apart Developers Contest. Special congrats to Jay Allen for winning the well-deserved First Prize for his MTBlacklist 2.0 plugin.

At the conference new features for the soon-to-be-released-to-the-public MT3.1 were also announced, including post scheduling, subcategories, and PHP-based dynamic templating.

Hi Arvind,

Well there isn't much more to say about MT 3.1 beyond what Chad and you have already written. I just hope it comes out soon. Somehow I managed to get an invitation to the developers dinner. I chatted up with Anil who just moved to San Francisco and met Matt Haughey, Tim Appnel, and Brenna and waved to Brad Choate who doesn't look anything like the image on his site now that he's shaved his beard. The next day at the conference I sat next to Tim Appnel for a while during a session on blogging while he wrote and documented a new plugin, Edit this entry. At the awards presentation I was surprised to learn that Jay Allen lives in Hungary of all places. Cheers to you Arvind!
